Track 15: Digital transformation for social entrepreneurship
As we navigate the complexities of social entrepreneurship in the digital era, understanding the intricate interplay between diverse actors and resource mobilization becomes essential. In the context of digitalization, transformative change increasingly relies on a diverse and interconnected array of actors who engage dynamically through digital technologies. These interactions are pivotal in reshaping how institutions are created, sustained, and disrupted. The resource dependencies that emerge among these actors drive various forms of institutional work, whether geared toward establishing new institutions or preserving existing ones.
Although digital technologies have alleviated resource constraints and created new entrepreneurial opportunities, current research has yet to fully explore how resources are mobilized across different levels - fields, organizations, and practices - to tackle pressing societal challenges. Furthermore, the mechanisms through which institutional change occur, particularly within both digital and spatial contexts, remain underexplored.
