Track 12: AI in Healthcare
Industry 5.0 is transforming the healthcare sector through close collaboration between humans and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). This approach not only digitises processes, but also increases efficiency, enables personalised care, and optimises the use of resources, ultimately reducing costs and expanding medical staff's capabilities.
Despite these benefits, transitioning to models based on human-machine synergy presents significant challenges. These include the integration of technological systems, the protection of privacy and data security, as well as the need for continuous training of healthcare staff and the investment required to maintain an up-to-date technological infrastructure.
This track invites research that explores both the benefits and challenges of this evolution, focusing on its implications for decision-making processes and organisational strategies. We seek contributions that offer innovative perspectives, practical tools and new methodologies to address these challenges. Theoretical studies, reviews and case studies are welcome, particularly those that highlight how human- technology collaboration is shaping the future of healthcare, improving the experience of care and enhancing the sustainability of the sector.
